Many times an individual finds himself in need of immediate help to move goods from one location to
another. For example when an individual sees a great sale on a large screen TV, he may be tempted to
purchase the TV knowing that at the time, he does not have a vehicle large enough neither the assistance
to move the TV from the store to his home. Other examples can include moving of appliances or furniture.
These items are generally too bulky or heavy to fit into a typical car, thus needing the use of a truck, van
or trailer; with additional manpower for loading and unloading. Additionally, the services may require
immediate availability of resources to help complete the purchase and delivery. The ability to secure
moving services in real-time is very limited, forcing the individual to purchase and then schedule a
delivery which could take many hours or days, depending on the availability of service providers which
are contracted to perform the move.
IMOVED addresses the moving/delivery service delays through an online auction site in real-time using a
tailored Application. The App is used on a mobile device such as an I-phone or similar. It allows both
Service Requesters (Posters) and Service Providers (Movers) to register their contact information on the
App’s database. Once qualified through an internal review process, Posters can access the App and use
a “Request for Service” form, to post details of their requested move including: pickup location, drop off
location, size, weight, manpower and offered price; in real-time. IMOVED software and database will then
identify a number of registered Movers in the geographic vicinity of the Poster and deliver the Request for
Move to these Movers. Mover(s) who are available and have reviewed the Post, can choose to accept or
reject the request. The Poster can then select the Mover’s reply which appears on his mobile device
screen and accept the offer. Once the Mover is notified of the acceptance, he proceeds with the move.
The selected Mover will continue to inform the Poster of the status of the move from pickup to final
delivery and will request payment at the conclusion of the move.
 
In summary, IMOVED enables individuals needing assistance with a move such as furniture, appliances,
groceries; to instantaneously inform multiple Movers, receive real-time bids, accept and contract a Mover
for the job, and finalize payment using known online e-commerce services.
